Looking to improve your horse’s rhythm, balance, and way of going—while keeping your training fresh, fun, and effective?
Join Te Rangi Horses for a focused Polework & Gymnastics Clinic, designed to suit riders of all ages and stages—from young riders through to adult amateurs and more advanced combinations wanting to refine their training.
These sessions are ideal whether you’re:
- Building confidence over poles and small exercises
- Developing your horse’s footwork, coordination, and straightness
- Improving engagement, adjustability, and rideability
- Adding variety and purpose to your flatwork or jumping programme
- Looking for a fun way to train and enjoy your horse!
Each group will be carefully matched by level, with exercises tailored to suit your goals—ranging from introductory polework right through to more advanced gymnastics and technical exercises.
What to expect:
- Small groups (max. 4 riders) for personalised coaching
- 1 hour 30-minute group sessions
- Progressive, practical exercises you can take home and use
- A supportive, encouraging learning environment
Group Levels – Find Your Fit
To help you get the most out of your session, groups will be split by experience level. If you’re unsure where you fit, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help guide you.
Beginner Group
Perfect for riders and horses new to polework or returning to basics.
- Walk and trot pole exercises with optional canter
- Introduction to rhythm, straightness, and steering
- Building rider confidence and position
- Ideal for young riders, green horses, and those wanting a calm, supportive start
Intermediate Group
For combinations comfortable with basic polework and some canter work.
- Some raised poles and simple patterns in trot & caner
- Developing consistency in rhythm and stride
- Improving horse’s balance, suppleness, and engagement
- Great for riders wanting to progress their flatwork or jumping foundations
Advanced Group
For established combinations looking to refine and challenge their training.
- More technical pole lines and gymnastics
- Adjustability, accuracy, and responsiveness
- Exercises to enhance collection, power, and rideability
- Ideal for competitive riders or those wanting to elevate performance and training variety
Venue:
Set in the beautiful surroundings of Wairoa Lodge, featuring a spacious 60 x 40m all-weather arena—perfect for quality training in any conditions.
Pricing:
- Lesson: $70 per rider
- Ground fee: $30 (payable to venue)
