Te Rangi Horses is heading to Clevedon Ponyclub for a day of cross country group lessons designed to help riders build confidence, skill, and partnership out on course.
These lessons are suitable for horse & rider combinations looking improve technique, build XC confidence or to put in some practice with the support of an experienced coach and rider. 65cm, 80cm and 95cm groups.
We also have an additional group - Introducing First Lady Start - our brand new group created especially for our grassroots riders. It’s a little play on words: “First Lady” because it’s a bit special (and just slightly fancy), and “First Start” like those first-year height classes at Pony Club - only this time, it’s designed for adult riders (not just ladies!) who want a relaxed, confidence-building experience. Think low-pressure, fun hacks around the grounds at Clevedon Pony Club, learning a few lovely flatwork movements, riding with like-minded people, and popping over a couple of small logs if you feel like it. It’s social, supportive, and all about enjoying your horse without the pressure - just good riding, good company, and a great atmosphere.
With over 15 years of teaching experience as a qualified secondary school teacher, I focus on delivering clear, individualized coaching while keeping sessions practical, safe, and enjoyable. Riders will work on position, balance, rhythm, line selection, and building horse confidence across a variety of cross country questions.
The goal is to help riders feel more confident on course while developing horses that are responsive and willing partners.
$60 group lesson
$20 Ground fee - payable to Clevedon Ponyclub
Note - a grounds use form must be filled out ( available on Clevedon PC website ) and a Te Rangi Horses online waiver completed prior to lessons.
